On Saturday August 10, 2013, after Demo Practice and learning my first 2 patterns for this elite group, Sahbumnim Sparks asked me to see him at the beginning of dragons class.
He grabbed my belt and placed the first green tape at the end of my yellow belt. I asked laughing, what he was doing. He looked up at me and said... "promoting you to Green stripe". I then out of disbelief and nervousness asked if he was allowed to do that as he placed the next green tape on my other belt tail - since I did not have a formal test? He smiled, and said,,,, I'm the teacher... yes I'm allowed. I've watched you in the past few classes... your ready". I teared up.... hugs all around!
So there you have it. I assume a certificate will come at a later date, considering Sir is on travels for a few weeks.... but I am tickled pink! I will post the certificate day soon.
