In amongst 12 rings (simultaneously), Tyler can be found in Ring 7, competing for the championship at his level and age. This is one of the biggest Ontario venues for Taekwondo and has 2 different federations coming together to compete. The International Taekwondo Organization (ITO) and our association, the Global Taekwondo Federation (GTF). There were some that actually flew down from Korea.
Ty was up against much taller boys and of the next belt level up... all to say... He was very powerful in his patterns... up against 8 others...and as you can see.... very flexible! - Brianna said she could hear him stomp the floor from the other side of the gym. He has allot of power and he is always very focused. He takes Gold
Yup! Very flexible.
Up against 3 other boys (2 Red Belt, and 1 Red stripe ~ tyler's rank) . Very close decisions for judges, but they all can't get gold.....He places in the medal standings after 2 fights.... he received the bronze in sparring.
A gentleman (black belt) who was watching the fights, came up to him and told him how impressed he was with Tyler's timming and the way he knew when to counter act the next kick or punch - Tyler waits for the opening and lets it go!.
We are very impressed with Tyler's performance this weekend.
Thanks Eddie for taking the pictures.
